World Introvert Day
World Introvert Day is an annual observance dedicated to celebrating and recognizing the qualities and contributions of introverts. It takes place on January 2nd each year. The day aims to increase awareness and understanding of introversion, challenging stereotypes and promoting a more inclusive appreciation of introverted individuals.
Introverts are often characterized by traits such as being more reserved, thoughtful, and needing time alone to recharge. World Introvert Day provides an opportunity to acknowledge the strengths and talents of introverts and to dispel misconceptions that may surround their personalities.
Celebrations on World Introvert Day can vary, ranging from social media campaigns and online discussions to local events and gatherings. It serves as a platform for introverts to share their experiences, connect with like-minded individuals, and foster a sense of community.
While extroversion is often more socially emphasized, World Introvert Day offers a dedicated space to recognize the value of introversion and the unique perspectives introverts bring to various aspects of life, including relationships, work, and creativity.

What’s Different About Me?
I am an introvert and I have been a manager of a 20 person recruitment team and have been working virtually for over 11 years.
I have been a HR manager and had managers tell me about their disengaged members of staff and wanted to know how to deal with them. I asked them questions about how these members of staff were showing up.
I worked with them to help distinguish between introverted staff and disengaged employees. Then we put together a training program to help bring out the best of their introverted staff.
