World Introvert Day Jan 2nd 2024 👆🏼

No matter who you are, no matter how introverted and shy, if you are truly passionate about landing your ideal job, there is nothing to stop you. There are many different ways to get to where you are going, but the most successful approach is to harness your strengths and use them to propel you forward. Introverted people are far more likely to go the systematic and methodical approach as opposed to the brash, charm everyone approach. The likelihood is, your dream job, is likely to highlight your core personal attributes anyway because trying to achieve something completely unnatural for you, will be a lot more difficult and will not feel right. So, let’s take a look at some strategies for landing the ideal job for you.

Visualize

To understand who you are and what you are capable of, you need to be honest with yourself and visualize yourself in certain dream jobs. What job feels the most natural? With so many career paths out there, you need to harness your strengths and focus attention in that direction. Maybe you are an artist, well anything in the artistic sphere will be a good fit, such as designing, architecture, an art teacher, an illustrator, etc. If you do not know what your strengths are, you should devote some time to introspection and discover them. Everyone has strengths. When you know what you are good at and also what you like, life can become far simpler. You can then focus your attention in the right direction.

Do Some Research

Once you know the area you would like to work in which compliments your personality type and highlights your core strengths, you need to discover how you get from where you are to where you want to be. Look into the job descriptions for the job you want. What skills do you already possess, what do you need? You may need to go to University and get a degree, such as a doctorate degree in nursing. By researching, you will discover just what exactly you need to do to get your ideal job. You may even need to go back to the beginning and redo the very basic qualifications. But it does not matter. As long as you focus and it leads you towards the greater goal, that is a positive thing. Also, think about what else you can do to help you secure the job or even help you achieve that university placement. How about a hobby or some voluntary work may be just the ticket. If nursing is your goal, you can always contact the local hospital and discover what you can do to help out there. This shows motivation and that you are proactive, and even an introvert can send an email to the local hospital. Besides, if that is your ideal job, you need to gain experience at some point.

Study Hard

As an introvert, you cannot rely on your charming personality, so you need to put your head down and study hard. If you are going back to University, you need to make the most of your time. If possible, you should try and devote all your time to studying, meaning you should, if you can, stop working. A full-time degree is like a full-time job, and if you want the best grades, you have to be able to focus. If you need to work, perhaps, you should find something that is as stress-free as possible. Remember, you have to discuss anything you do not understand with the tutor. If you are not the type to ask in the lesson, ensure you book one-to-one with the tutor. Read as much as you can, and learn from testimonials of people in the field you intend to work in. Studying comes in many forms. Additionally, you may need some coaching as well to work on aspects of your personality that need enhancing. If you want your own business, for example, you are going to need a certain level of people skills, even if the main focus is the skill you have.

Work on Your Look

The fitter and healthier you are, the more this will work in your favor. No matter what the position you are going for is, you cannot help but make a first impression, and that is based on how you look. Develop an exercise regime. This can be very useful for the introverted person as it can naturally build your confidence and self-esteem. Also, ensure you groom adequately and wear clothing that makes you feel empowered.
